It all began with one man’s passion for flavor and good food….

 

That is exactly what Greg Sheridan will provide for you with attention to details and award winning expertise, for he will take care so you can be carefree. 

Greg Sheridan has been in the hospitality industry for most of his life, studying Hotel Restaurant Management at Loyalist College and Advanced Chef Training at George Brown College. Greg, while attending Loyalist under the tutelage of Master Chef Heinz Haas, won silver medal out of 152 competitors at the Taste of Canada Competition. Greg has worked as a Chef for hotel chains Ramada Inn & Four Seasons, as well as lending his talents to various restaurants in the area. His award winning mastery in the kitchen led him, along with his wife Tena (a registered nurse), to open his own catering business in 1994.

 

In this time Greg has amassed experience working in sometime challenging and difficult situations using an ability to adapt and be versatile to succeed.

In 2011, Greg & Tena opened Cafe Sans Souci Banquet & Conference Centre, a fully handy-accessible facility with multiple well-appointed restrooms/change rooms(with showers available) featuring a large banquet room that seats up to 150 in a warm intimate room suited to any kind of event. A large cafe that seats up to 100 that can also accommodate functions of any kind and works wonderfully as the starting point for cocktails and hor’s doerves prior to dinner in the function room. The cafe also has a wonderful water wall feature that has acted as the backdrop for wedding ceremonies. 

 

Greg, as Belleville’s premier full time off premise caterer, provides professionally catered services to any occasion. Whether it is a wedding ,family events, charity galas , BBQ’s, intimate dinner parties in a clients home, corporate power lunches to be served in local boardrooms or delivered on site. Greg has catered to large and small multi-course dinners, banquets, most major galas and weddings in the area, as well as functions at remote locations. Using professionally equipped vehicles, Sans Souci has range as far west as Don Mills, north to Limerick Lake, east to Kingston and south, barged over to Wapoos Island and cut into a site with chain saws. 

Greg has a large client list compiled over the years and among this list some of the clients of note have been Justin Trudeau, Jean Cretien, Joe Clark, Mike Reno and every Ontario provincial leader since Mike Harris and the most recent Joseph Spencer from Say Yes to the Dress Canada.

 

Sans Souci has been voted in the Belleville Intellegencer’s Readers Choice Award as Belleville’s best caterer since it’s inception. As well as best lunch location and overall best restaurant. 

 

Greg & Tena are the proud parents of two beautiful girls Miranda and Gabrielle, and a son Grahm, who have grown into valuable members of the team.
